The public early intervention pathway.

New York City’s Early Intervention Program serves eligible children from birth to age three. Families can start a public referral by calling 311 and asking for Early Intervention, or using the city’s referral portal.

An evaluation determines eligibility. The public program is provided at no direct cost to eligible families; this does not establish the cost, funding or approval status of a separate Mariel service.
